"Adrift, 2011" Wins Viewers' Choice Award at Juried Exhibit

Last winter, Darkroom Gallery in Essex Junction, Vermont, displayed two of my photographs, Adrift, 2011 and Storm, Sandoval County, New Mexico, 2009, in their exhibit Four Corners of the Earth, juried by George DeWolfe.

Adrift, 2011, photographed at Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center in Orange, Texas, was selected by the gallery's patrons for the exhibit's Viewers' Choice Award.

Reminiscent of an impressionist painting and invoking a romantic mood, Adrift, 2011 is surrealist and dream-like color photograph that captures the reflection of cypress trees in a pond containing floating leaves.

A limited edition print of Adrift, 2011, framed by international award-winning fine art framers John and Phyliss Nazworth, can be viewed and is available for purchase at Pinehurst Gallery in Orange, Texas.

Pinehurst Gallery and Custom Picture Framing (409-882-9008) is located at 2498 Martin Luther King, Suite C, in Orange, Texas.  The gallery is open Tuesday-Friday, 10am-5pm, and Saturday, 10 am-2pm.

Four Corners of the Earth was exhibited from 29 November through 23 December 2011 at the Darkroom Gallery (802-777-3686), located at 12 Main Street, in Essex Junction, Vermont.  The gallery is open 11am-4pm daily or by appointment.
